WHAT DOES YOUR POSITION ENTAIL?
As VP I help the president organize and run our meetings and our events. I also help out other positions as needed with their tasks.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED WITH LEAD?
I first got involved in LEAD in my first year of grad school. I was previously a social media officer before becoming VP.
WHY DID YOU GET INVOLVED?
I wanted to be involved with LEAD because I feel that STEM outreach is really important especially for kids that do not have access to this information.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE EVENT?
My favorite event so far has been BLAST camp. I loved getting to talk to the kids and give them some insight on what graduate school is and see them be excited for STEM.
WHAT EVENTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOWARD TO?
I'm excited for boo bash--love halloween!
