WHY JOIN LEAD?

     LEAD is dedicated to improving graduate student leadership and communication skills through the dissemination of science literacy and accessibility, thereby providing an avenue for more engaging scientific experts. By joining LEAD, you'll not only promote science education within our local community, you'll also have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership qualities to future employers.

     LEAD also allows you to connect with other graduate students throughout the Chemistry Department. Members engage in various social events throughout the year as well as our full-day Annual Retreat each summer. So step outside of the lab for a brief moment: be the science expert for a day and get a chance to explore Charlottesville and the surrounding area with a great group of friends!
